About the courses

The Arts and Culture courses found here are at post-secondary level and are offered by private education providers.There are shorter as well as longer courses available.

There are different types of Arts and Culture courses. They may:

  • Prepare for undergraduate studies at a fine arts or music academy.
  • Prepare for direct entry into a specific occupation in the field of arts or cultural work, such as professional dancer, designer or musical theatre performer.
  • Specialise within the fields of cultural heritage or cultural development. Such courses may include knitting, smithing and folk dance.

 

The course providers charge tuition fees. Fees will vary depending on whether the courses receive public funding or not.

As an international student in Sweden, you may under certain conditions be eligible for student financial aid. For information about the conditions that may apply to you, contact the Swedish Board for Study Support (CSN).

 

The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (Myndigheten för yrkeshögskolan, MYH) is the regulatory authority responsible for the courses found here. MYH carries out inspections and reviews how providers maintain their educational standards and quality.
